well i guess was entirely wrong! Mary didn't get shrunk 17 years ago during the Haneda shogi master's murder via APTX. it was sometime AFTER Haibara was reconstructing her parents' research. Haibara finally confessed she was 18 'today' to Shin a few episodes ago. so, 10 years ago to 17 years ago Haibara would have been 1 year old or 8 years old. :D so right now, while this episode is happening, Haibara is an 8-year-old girl.
